Your coach decides whether the team is ready to play. There are three cups, by age and level.
Which cup
| Cup | Who plays | When |
|---|---|---|
| State Cup | U13 and older | High school girls in the fall; U13–U14 boys and girls and high school boys at the end of the spring (May/June). Winners go to Nationals in July. |
| Junior State Cup | U11 and U12 | |
| Presidents Cup | Second-tier U13 to U19 teams | Winners play a regional final. |
Registering
- Register on the Kansas State Youth Soccer Association website. The deadline is FIRM: miss it and you won't play.
- Watch the roster freeze dates. There are usually two: have your roster set by the first, and you can make only a few changes before the second. Admins and coaches check the roster before each.
- Every player turning 18 during the soccer year must complete SafeSport to be on the roster.
- Bring the most current roster and your original roster. Check the state's website for check-in steps.
The cost and the bond
- About $1,045 to play (check the state's website), plus a bond.
- SBV will likely cover the bond for several teams.
